Motivation Monday # 5

At the moment I can only get in a quick 20 – 30 minute work out each day. It’s usually pretty intense, hard work and rewarding in the end.

After each workout I always think “at least I did something today”.

How do you fit in your work outs?

    • Nothing like a quick recharge to get you going!
      I need to work on my planks – I can only manage 30 seconds – well, actually, I have never pushed beyond 30 seconds. Might have to find a plank challenge to do next month.

      • Bob Harper (*swoon*) has a challenge video for a 3min plank, which you can do part or all of. What’ nice is that he mixes it up from a static plank to including different movements so that the time goes a bit faster and you’re focusing on something besides your burning abs!

  1. I frequently wonder if my quick 25 minute workout is enough to really make a difference. But that photo nails it – at least I’m doing *something*! I might just have to scribble that message down on a post-it note and stick it to the mirror to remind myself ๐Ÿ™‚

    As a stay at home mom, technically I’m sure I could work out for ten hours straight if I really wanted to (I definitely *don’t* want to, haha). But I try to squeeze in an uninterrupted half hour as early in the morning as I can, since there’s nothing that squashes my motivation more than having to stop mid-pushup 10 times in a row to wipe butts or pour a glass of I’ll-die-if-I-don’t-have-it-right-this-second juice.

    • I too sometimes worry if 20-25 minutes is enough. But if I didn’t do the 20-25 minute workout then it means I’m not doing any work out.
      It’s challenge being a stay at home mom and and mom who work’s outside the home. I agree that it’s easier to workout when you are on your own. That’s why I work out when Lilly goes down for a nap, at night when she’s out for the night or at lunch time when I am at work.
      The main things is that you are working out … and chasing after little ones and picking them up is a workout all together ๐Ÿ™‚
