Yes, I said FOODIE PENPAL!!!!
On Valentine’s Day I received a package in the mail, no, not from my valentine. But from Christina my Foodie Penpal @ Food.Fitness.Fun.
Question: What is a foodie penpal?
Answer: Someone who sends you a package in the mail full of food items they want to share or introduce to you.
A look at the box of goodies I received (minus bag of cheese pops):
Everything out of the box:
I quickly opened the STARBUCKS Hot Chocolate and made some:
Then I examined the box further:
The Taste of Nature bar was awesome. I have yet to eat the HALO S’mores bar (looks like heaven) and the KIND plus bar. (saving them for a special occasion – or after a GOOD workout).
A few days later, Lilly and I tried the Neal Brothers Organic Cheese Pops!
Lilly and I agree – these are a winner.
We just have to locate them in a store around here 🙂
The Chai Spiced Black tea was great and Lilly loved the rice crackers.
There was a nice little note from Christina but I took a bad picture of it 😦
If you want to see what I sent to my foodie penpal you’ll have to go check her blog; Lisa @ J(and)Me – Cooking Jamie
I am going to do this again in March – so check back at the end of the month to see what I received from my new foodie penpal.
Oh – AND if you want to try it out, check out the details below!
Are you interested in being a Foodie Penpal (Open to Canadian & US residents)

Awwww what a fantastic idea! I am so jealous – we love receiving little care packages from home with the odd foodie item in it. Maybe I’ll just have to start a worldwide version!
You should sign up to participate. It’s fun to buy stuff for someone you don’t know. And then receive something too. And a great way to learn about other bloggers 🙂
that smore bar DOES sound like heaven 🙂 ps I added your post link to the link up party but just fyi, you can do it yourself in the future if you visit my reveal day post (not the foodie penpals page) and scroll down to the bottom. you’ll see a little blue oval that says add your link!
Will do. I couldn’t find the link this morning. Thanks.
I’m doing this again next month too! Glad you’re enjoying the package and I love what you sent your pen pal, local and creative – awesome!!
The organic cheese pops look great! I would love to find some of that.
Love the Taste of Nature bars – they are my favorite snack on the go. I keep one in my purse to prevent me from hitting any fast food drive through’s in desperate starvation moments. Love this idea of Foody penpals!!!
Did you sign up for the foodie penapl?
