Thirty-three.

That’s how many candles will be on my cake today! Well, maybe not 33 – that could cause a fire and wouldn’t that be embarrassing for my husband who is a volunteer Fire Fighter! Okay, maybe more embarrassing for me.

Three would be enough candles on my cake today.

What I love about my birthday? That I could have shared it with my first daughter! She was due on my 30th birthday but came a month earlier. I guess it’s just not cool to share a birthday with your Mommy.

We celebrated my birthday last night with this meal that was chosen by Lilly:

Yes, that would be corn on the cob and home-made pizza! That’s what Lilly wanted to have for my birthday dinner – I have to admit, it was pretty yummy.

Lilly was on the other side of this photo helping me blow out the (4) candles. Hilary wasn’t quite sure what was going on but she rolled with it.

It was a busy night with our girls but a perfect way to celebrate my birthday with my family before my husband had to leave again 😦 It’s all good, I get to do it again with the girls tonight!

Happy “birthing day” Mom – Thanks for bringing me into this world 33 years ago!

You can read last year’s birthday post here.

When’s your birthday?

How do you celebrate?

  1. Happy Birthday! We are the same age! We celebrate in all kinds of ways, but there is always a favorite meal and a cake or treat involved 🙂
