Christmas is starting to feel different again, in a good way. With a 3-year-old and 1-year-old, the excitement of Santa’s arrival stirring and lots of questions are being asked. When does Santa come? Did he come last night? It can make for some funny conversations.
This is what Christmas looked like in our house:
We opened presents, played for a bit, spent a few hours making our Christmas dinner (WIAW to come) and a little family walk on such a beautiful Christmas Day!
It’s now time to recycle wrapping paper, put away gift bags for next year and take down the decorations before we celebrate New Year’s!
PS – Next year – no noisy toys allowed π
Have you finished all your Christmas events?
When do you pack up decorations?
I think my tree will get put away next weekend as realistically it might be my first opp! Your pics are lovely btw π
It’s nice to have it up for a while. We don’t have a real one this year π¦ so I’m fine with taking our little one down in the next few days. It’s all about timing, eh!
Our tree stays up until at least jan 10th this year
That’s fun!
(a second Christmas???)
LOL no noisy Christmas presents! Yep, my mom has definitely put presents for my little cousins in a shopping cart and returned them to their shelves a few minutes later after realizing how noisy they are.
For some reason this year both girls got mostly noisy toys…I should have bought us ear plugs π
HAHAHA!!
Christmas is officially over:( so sad! I don’t take the decor down till the day after New Years. Last year I took them down the day after Christmas and my husband was so sad ha
For some reason this year I was ready to take it all down early…it’s 90% done now! Your poor husband…cute though.
Looks like fun! I like to have everything packed up right after New Years, but that might get delayed since it’s in the middle of the week this year.
It’s kinda of a tease to have New Year’s mid week. I have to work Jan 2/3 which seems like a waste since the weekend is so close!
After five days of Christmas with my in-laws I think we’re pretty much done. Our tree will probably be up till the 10th, which is when the council comes around and collects them for free (we have a live one). If I can’t convince my husband that we should just keep it undecorated as a house plant. I feel so guilty about just chucking them out.
I wish we had a real tree this year…it would be up for as long as I could manage it … or they come pick them up in the trash π It does suck just throwing them out.
