Well, it’s official…I finally have signed up for TWO races…oh wait…make that THREE!
Today was the early bird registration day for the Bluenose Marathon in Nova Scotia (11th year) and I told myself that this spring I would focus on 5k’s and 10k’s and aiming for PR’s.
Confirmed – all registered for the 10k at the Bluenose Marathon,
Confirmed – all registered for the Tartan Twosome – 5k on Sept 12th at sunset and 10k on Sept 13th at sunrise! I get to run dressed like a Pirate! AWESOME!
Not confirmed but wanting to run:
- MEC Race Two – April 4th (I think)
- Run for Women 5k – May 4th
- Epic Canada 5 or 10k (June 28th I think)
- Valley Harvest 1/2 Marathon Oct 12th
- PEI Marathon – 10k
I may have just decided on my next 1/2 Marathon! Gulp!!! I’m feeling the need to go for a run now AND find a training program (in kilometers).
AND…….I need to find some new running sneakers. Mine are done, done, done and I’m not in LOVE with them anymore.
What’s your favourite training programs? Got any in kilometer’s you can share?
Do you sign up on the last day of early bird registration to save money?
favourite running sneakers?
Look at you!!! I Love it!
I’m excited! Do you have any races planned this year?
I have a relay back at home in the midwest planned 😉
Sweet!
Kilometers? Come on… Actually, check out Noakes’ Lore of Running. He has a ton of different plans in there for different distances and abilities, and being from South Africa, they’re in kilometers. Drives me nuts trying to figure it out but good stuff.
Thanks! Much appreciated…I’ll check it out this weekend.
Yeah, me a miles don’t work out well.
Way to go! Wish I was coming in May to do BN. Next year perhaps! If I do we will meet.
Fav sneakers are Asics 2000. They are the only ones that come in a size 12 2A. Ugh! haha
Are you going to sign up for the Around the World Running Blog? Hope so. Your kilometres will help us get around the world. 🙂
Yes, let’s meet up at one of these NS races 🙂 Or if you come home for a visit…we should go out for a run together.
I haven’t yet signed up…thanks for the reminder….I should really do this. It’s now on my list of things to do this weekend.
I would love to run with you. When I am headed your way I will let you know. 🙂
Happy you are doing to take part.
Right now I am very much digging my Mizunos even though I still have a bit more breaking in of them to do. It sounds like you have some seriously awesome stuff coming up! I want to run dressed like a pirate!!!
I saw your “break through” with your running shoes – who knew that you didn’t need the type of shoes you had. I’m excited!
You get to be a pirate?! How cool! 😀
Best pirate costume gets prizes!!! I need to start thinking of what to do!
A parrot! haha!
Good call!
yay races, that’s so exciting!!!
It is exciting!
Very cool! I like the pirate one!!! Check out Hal Higdon’s training plans.
I love dressing like a pirate! I’ve seen Hal’s training programs but never really…really looked into them. It’s on my list now to do 🙂
i so want to come out and do the tartan twosome! what a great run!!!
YAY!!! So excited for you and your races!!
I think I sign up on the first day of early bird registration because I want to give myself as much time as possible to train and signing up makes the commitment real! Plus I’m cheap and don’t want to forget and miss the cheaper rates. 🙂
