It’s been a long time since I did a Motivation Monday post so I thought I’d start the week off with this one π
For those of you who are starting your work week, hopefully you are feeling energized and refreshed from the weekend. For those who worked all weekend, I am hoping you find a little motivation and get re-energized.
Exercise, working out, fitness, hitting the gym, team sports, individual challenges – whatever “activity” or word you chose … my question to you today is WHY?
Why do you do it?
Why don’t you do it?
Think about it…..
Being active has multiple benefits for your mind, body and soul.
For me, I love the feeling after a great workout and EVEN a challenging one.
Why do you like being active?
What are the benefits of exercising (being active, workouts, running etc) to you?
Have you ever convinced someone to start being active?
Excellent motivation!
Recently I’ve finally gotten my husband to start hitting the gym. He works crazy hours so it was hard to convince him he had the time to go before, but now he realizes that he needs to make that time (family history of heart problems, etc…being active is super important for him). My favorite thing about it for me personally is the feeling of accomplishment I get from a good run or workout. Plus it’s nice to know that making healthy choices sets me up to be around longer for my daughter. π
That’s great that your husband is getting active – it’s so important! I love the feeling after a workout too…and the sense of accomplishment…it’s all on you and no one else. I like the fact that my girls are learning healthy lifestyle habbits and hopefully they want that too π
for me being active and working out is really empowering. It makes me feel confident, plus it keeps me healthy and gives me new goals to work towards.
I hear ya! Nothing like a little confidence to make you feel good π
Great list. I think I’ve experienced all those benefits from regular exercise.
There are so many benefits to regular exercise. It’s funny now that I am running4-5 times a week, it’s just part of my schedule.
Very nice! I always feel better afterwards. I really noticed after yoga classes. Such a difference!
I love yoga…wish I did it more π I did it regularly when I was pregnant and it made me feel like a million bucks!
Great motivation. I think remembering why I love exercise and the benefits keep me motivated. Oh and the warm weather. I crave being outside when it’s nice out but in the winter it can be a lot harder
Going from fall to winter in Nova Scotia can be really hard on people…it’s darker earlier, colder, bad weather starts. I love the spring here when people are out in mass π
