It’s that time of year again……………………..
I found a little time this week to invest in my feet 🙂 I was in the cit-tay (city) and stopped at a local Running Store – Aerobics First. I’ve been in a few times over the years but never bought anything. It was kinda busy so they called down extra staff to help me find a pair of new runners!!!!
This is what I have been running on for the last…little…while (okay, maybe two years). I may or may not have bought these when I was pregnant with Hilary……she’s 16 months old now!
I tried on four different pairs of runners and it came down to a pair of Saucony and Asics. I tested both pair out on the treadmill in the store. I tried both pair at the same time. I tried size 8.5 and size 9 in both pairs. I loved them both! How could that be?
One pair was $5 more. The Saucony were mainly black, white and little purple and the Asics were blue, orange and more blue. I really struggled with which ones to go with and in the end…..
These won 🙂
My old love for blue took over my new love of purple……
Now all I have to do is get outside and run in them!
How often to you buy new sneakers?
Do you stick with the same brand or switch it up?
What’s your favourite running shoe?
Cheers, Piper 😉
I try to stick to the every 500 miles rule… But I can usually tell when they need to be replaced because my knees start bothering me….
In HS and college all I would wear are nikes, partially because I have a very thin foot and they fit great and at the time the other brands just weren’t great… However, now I enjoy trying new kicks out… my last pr were the Asics Kayanos, I’m currently in Brooks and I’m hoping for Mizunos next month…. I love getting new running sneakers….
My current favorite are my Brooks adrenalines but I have a feeling that the mizunos may be my soulmates…
ps love your new kicks!!!
Thanks!
I haven’t really been stuck on a brand but am on a roll with Asics lately so we’ll see how that goes. I like switching it up sometimes 🙂
me too and sometimes all it takes is a new pr of running kicks to help get you motivated and excited…
Ooh I love the colors! I get new shoes about every 500 miles or when my knees ache.
I really only recently started tracking my km but usually get new runners when I can’t run on mine anymore. My old ones are still okay but not for long distance …. time for the new puppies 😉
You can never go wrong with blue 😉 Looking forward to hearing how the new shoes work for you.
I love that these are so bright and colourful! Might speed me up a little, ha ha.
YAY new shoes! They are beautiful! I hope they treat your feet right on your runs!
I did switch up when I went from Brooks to Mizuno, but now I’m back to Brooks again and loving them. 🙂
Me too! Glad you are loving your shoes! So, can I join your club now? lol
I love the blue! I usually stick with the same shoes – but when I decided to try out Mizunos instead of my usual Sauconys I was glad I did. I’m a Mizuno girl now. So it’s good to see what’s out there now and then. Enjoy your new shoes!
The blue is fun!!!! I don’t think I’ve ever tried on Mizunos! Next time 🙂
I always am a mix of sad and excited when I get new running shoes. I get them every 500 miles or when the bottoms look bad, or my body feels bad!
Yeah, I kinda feel bad for my other shoes so I might just wear them every so often until I officially am ready to retire them 😉
Cute shoes! I buy new running shoes every 300-400 miles. My go-to brand is Asics. I tried switching to Brooks and ended up with shin pain that was so bad I thought I had a stress fracture! I went back to Asics and I’m injury free 🙂
I’ve had Reebok, New Balance and Asics and right now I’m happy with Asics…second pair 🙂
I did actually just run in a new pair of Mizuno’s this morning! I buy 2 or 3 pairs a year.
Sweet! How did they feel?
Hope they work out for you! I tried several different ones until I found my Brooks Pure Flow. I’ve been major injury free since wearing them the past few years. I get a new pair every few months, but I keep the old ones and rotate them in throughout the week. New ones usually are for my long runs, and older ones for shorter runs.
cute new sneaks, I love the orange and blue combo! I have a bad habit of waiting too long to get new sneakers but I’m trying to be better about it.
Cute shoes! I wear Brooks PureCadence and love them. I keep an eye out for sales and get a new pair if I see a good deal. Right now I think I’m set for the rest of the year.
Gorgeous! I love the colour! Enjoy your new “ride.”
THOSE are some sexy shoes!!
