T’was the day after Christmas (okay, four days after Christmas)
And no one had moved.
They sat on their butts eating chocolate and food.
In hopes that something would change their attitude.
The motivation to move just wasn’t there.
Laziness had taken over the desire to care.
The opportunity to get active was under the tree; new snowshoes, new mitts and new workout gear!
Outside there was no snow but cooler temps were here, so it’s now time to use your workout gear.
Time to get active and visit the Gym, GoodLife Fitness is a great place to begin.
You’ve got cardio, weights and classes galore.
Don’t waste your time sitting or in front of the screens.
Post workout you feel the sensation of a high, your endorphins are running and reaching the sky.
Don’t lose sight of that feeling, that feeling of oh so great.
Tomorrow’s another day, so let’s get things straight,
2015 is a New Year so let’s make it the best.
It’s time to get off your butt and get rid of the stress.
Let’s have fun with being active and the rest is the test!
Running, Cross fit, Cycling or Walking,
It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you move.
Now that the holidays are quieting down,
Let’s commit to a healthy New Year ahead.
Pack up the decorations and start hitting the gym
You never know what mood it will put you in!

Hope you all had a great holiday, enjoying time with family, good food and drinks! I’m trying to take advantage of my GoodLife Gym membership over the holidays while balance the hamstring injury! Fun times!
Anyone run over the holidays?
Or did you take a break from working out?
OR – are you injured like me and thinking about running/working out?
Please note: This post was written as part of the GoodLife Fitness Blogger Ambassador Program.
Love this post. Thought maybe you were talking about me 😉 Actually I took Christmas off from running and enjoyed long walks with my husband and the dog. But then it was back into action because all I ate was dessert!
Thanks! Good for you! Since I’m currently not running I took advantage of a good hamstring day and walked my dog – it was so nice to move again!
Anna, this is such an awesome post! I have to admit that I did keep active, but my eating habits sure took a dive. 😦 But no worries, I’ll be back on track again starting today…or as soon as those Quality streets are gone, lol. 😉
Heather – it was perfect running weather the last few days (minus today) in Timberlea! Was home to visit the family and the BLT trail was just calling my name. I even brought my running gear in case my hamstring was cooperating but just took our dog for a nice walk instead.
Oh, those Quality Street Chocolates…ha ha, I left our container at my parents on purpose!
Love this post!
I have just returned to GoodLife! I went almost every day the first week because I kissed the gym so much. It is hard for me to go during the holidays but I’m looking forward to making the gym a regular thing in 2015 – big goal to become a stronger runner!
I love going to GoodLife. That’s my plan for 2015 – stronger runner too!
My NEW YEAR starts today and I have scheduled my workouts for the week. I have been lucky enouogh to win one-month passes to Good Life each of the last 2 years that bloggers have had giveaways. Sure hope to be as lucky this year… will have to check out the blogger program with them. Lucky you!
I love that you are starting today. I’m a big fan of Sun-Sat workout plans. I’m still trying to decide on my 2015 goals/resolutions so I’m not planning on focusing on them until they are posted. Having said that I’m still maintaining my current activities 🙂
Hows the hammy? I hope that you can find another way to work out–I know how frustrating it can be! I was pretty darn good with my working out during the holidays, I am happy to say, but it is also a bit different for me, without kids and such!
It’s coming along – thanks! I managed a 30 minute walk last night with no pain. Slow and steady and I’ll get there. Good for you for working out over the holidays!
I actually ran 3 days in a row last week! Not long or fast, but it was enough that I didn’t feel like a total blob. I hope you get back at it this week and feel great 🙂
Good for you! I’m slowly getting back into being active again!
I had some good workouts, but the food was everywhere! Oh the cookies!
Same here!
