Happy April!!!!!!!
I can’t believe that it’s April all ready. I’m ready for spring – warmer weather, sunshine, snow melting hopefully 🙂 Though I was sideline from the car accident (3/23) I was still able to walk and do a little cycling last week.
Monday: Rest, was still in pain with my neck/back.
Tuesday: Rest. We had a snow day so I worked from home, wasn’t wanting to be on the roads after sliding off the roads the week before.
Wednesday: Physiotherapy appointment. This went well, I have minor whiplash and was told it will take 4-6 weeks to feel better. I could walk, cycle and do yoga – though all scaled down from my normal intensity. That evening I jumped on my bike trainer for 10 minutes and managed 3k.
Thursday: Massage & 7k / 20 minutes on the bike trainer. The massage was amazing and helped my back out a lot.
Friday: 5k / 15 minutes on the bike trainer. I was off work for the day and took a quick 15 minutes to get in a little ride.
Saturday: Rest Day (busy traveling for work and with our girls). I did get to see my niece, Ava. And no, my legs are that pale, I had pantyhose on as I was at an awards brunch prior.
Sunday: Rest Day. Though I really wanted to jump on my treadmill and run for 5 minutes, I didn’t. I was given permission to run 5 minutes but just couldn’t find time. It was a busy day of 5 loads of laundry, swim lessons for the girls and trying to do some cleaning around the house.
Not a horrible week but happy to have it behind me. I’m eager to start running and hopeful that I’ll get back to that this week. Fingers crossed!
How was your week/weekend?
Are you ready for spring?
Anyone else glued to #BM100 online? Nail biter!
Today, I’m joining the Weekly Wrap hosted by HoHo Runs and MissSippiPiddlin.
Happy April! I discovered the BM100 this last week when everyone on Twitter was talking about it. It’s so crazy what these people do. I’d never be able to accomplish something like that. Haha Have a great week!
Nail biter for sure!! Having trouble keeping up with my new goal of less technology because of it!! 😳
Glad to hear that you are getting some relief and healing. You’ll be back at it before ya know it! 😊
So glad that you are on the mend. Such a scary ordeal. Hopefully this time off will find the snow melting before you are back out there!
Happy to hear that you’re on the mend! I had to giggle at the legs comment. 🙂 lol – I love it when the sun shines to brighten up my legs a bit!
I also cannot believe that it is April!
I’m happy to hear that you are feeling better.
So glad you’re finally feeling better after the accident! I had a pretty good weekend too, but not as good as I was hoping for.
Keep on getting better! Also, your niece is adorable!
You are smart to take it slow and give your body time to heal correctly. Speedy recovery 🙂
Thanks. I’m wanting to make sure I’m good to go before my workouts get more intense.
I’m trying to get on the trainer more consistently these days – is it just me or do you feel like the time drags soooo much more compared to riding outside?!
I’m only on my trainer for short periods of time but I try to watch a TV show while I ride to pass time.
I hope your healing well and can be back to running soon!
Slowly getting back at it!
Glad you are healing! I’m sure you’re anxious to get back to running. I would be, too!
Thanks, I am. Had a good but short run yesterday!
Yes yes YES! I am ready for spring! Now that the threat of snow is gone, I’d really like to see some (consistent) sunshine and warmer temps (the weekend is looking great…but we have severl days of rain & gloom to wade through first).
We will have lots of rain tonight and tomorrow, I’m hopeful that it will help melt the snow that’s still here!
The grass has greened up here because it hasn’t stopped raining in weeks but it’s still so cold and raw here. Hope your neck and back feel better and better! I need to check out the BM100! Love that crazy race!
We still have a good amount of snow but I’d say within the next week is will all melt away!
Wow! The end of BM100 sure was heartbreaking! That’s one race that fascinates the heck out of me!
It was kind of a tough week. I got in all my workouts, but we’ve got some other things going on that are making life a little more stressful 😦 We will get through it, but priorities are shifting for the time being.
It sure was heartbreaking but still so inspiring! Hope this week has been better for you and your family.
Wait, it’s April?? And I’m sorry to hear you were in a car accident!! Make sure to take the time you need to heal. They are evil things and soft tissue injuries are like little devils that never go away. I hope you feel better soon!!!
I can’t believe is April! Thanks.
So glad you are feeling better and hope you can get back to running a bit more soon! Happy Spring to you!
Thanks. I had a very short run last night and it was great!
Kudos to you for continuing to move despite the pain that you’re in from the car accident. Just remember that a slow and steady recovery will help allow your body to heal. Having been in my own bad car accident, I know how frustrating it is to not be able to work out the way that you want to, but your body will thank you in the long run for taking things easy right now.
Thanks. I was just happy to be moving a little more. I’m in no rush but every day I can workout is one step in the right direction.
I’m glad you are feeling better and continuing to get in some time on your bike trainer!! I’m happy it’s Spring, but I just wish it would stop snowing here in Maine!! 🙂
Thanks. Yes, the snow needs to stop!
