I can’t believe we are now half way through the year and into July. I’ve been pretty MIA on the blogging/social media front lately. Life. Is. Just. Busy! I’m sure you can all relate!
My running mileage for June was pretty good – 84km. I took a full week off after my half marathon which I hadn’t planned on doing but it actually felt pretty great. I managed to go to my weekly yoga class three times and three soccer game as well. No complaints here.
June Mileage
June’s Goals
- Relax about my running pace. Finally felt like I accomplished this!
- Decrease social media time (gasp!!!). I did on weekends.
- Figure out our summer holidays. Done and done!
- Set up 1 page in my bullet journal to track “x” daily. It’s not pretty but it’s done.
- Enjoy my upcoming half marathon. Accomplished – you can read about it here.
- Check in at least once a week on these goals. I did, twice.
July’s Goals.
- Family vacation in Ontario and PEI. (Ontario completed already!).
- Use our Canada 150 National Park Pass (camping, hike, canoeing, beach going).
- Start training for Maritime Race Weekend– (6th) Half Marathon.
- Read two books. (Well, finish the one I’ve been readying for 2 years and one more).
- More early morning runs before work.
- Bike to work at least once this month.
- Focus on good sleep.
As for my goals for the whole year – you can find them here – I’ve checked a few off my list but have completely ignored many of them. Time to get back into crossing those off my list. So far I’ve done this year I’ve accomplished:
- Being outside as a family – yes we have been doing this.
- Run at least two half marathons – 1 out of 2 so far.
- Keep blogging – I’m still here but far less then ever!
- Declutter the house. This is in high gear right now.
- Set mini monthly goals – all over this one!
- Journal – it’s pretty minimal.
I have many more items on my yearly goals/to-do list and I’m sure I’ll get a few more before the cold month of December hits! Speaking of weather – it’s been rather amazing summer weather around here!
How was your month of June?
Do you have any summer goals?
How long does it take you to read a book?
My goal for July is to pr in a 5k race that I have coming up at the end of the month. Fingers crossed!
Doing great on those goals!
Thanks!
I too can not believe it’s july already, but then again I said the same thing when it was March!
I can’t believe how fast each month goes by!
I am SOOOOO terrible when it comes to reading books these days. Although, give me a Harry Potter book, and I will binge-read until it’s finished. Currently, though, I am about half way through Kathrine Switzer’s Marathon Woman, and it’s very compelling 😉
I still need to read her book!! It’s been on my list forever!
I can definitely relate to being busy!!
Sounds like you have some awesome goals for July. Woohoo!
Thanks, I hope they are manageable.
June was good. I finally got my mileage back up to where I like it and we have been enjoying our summer vacation very much.
The goal for summer is just to have fun and go with the flow, and ti’s been going great so far.
I am a crazy fast reader. If I am really into a book, I can knock it out in a few hours. I will sometimes limit myself to a chapter or two at a time to make it last. I’ve always been a huge bookworm, though.
Great to hear you’ve got your mileage up to where you want it. Impressive with your reading!
I like the idea of a bullet journal I just have not been disciplined enough to do it yet
Maybe that’s my problem , no disciplined enough. I’m trying though.
I have yet to get through one book this year – terrible I know!
Glad I’m not the only one.
If I’d been reading a book for 2 years, I’d have forgotten the beginning by now! I go through stages of reading more and less. I’ve been in a moderate level lately. Love all the vacation and playing outside goals!
I haven’t forgotten any of it somehow. It’s a good book but I never have enough time to read a lot of it. Reading makes me fall alseep, haha!
Looks like you are doing great! I love how you keep your family active! I like to read when I fly otherwise I have a hard time settling down with a good book. Not sure why? Enjoy the great weather!
We love being a cover together!
Glad to see you have another half marathon on tap! There’s nothing like a race on the calendar to keep you moving!
Yes, it’s nice to keep focused on something!
I hope you enjoy your vacation on PEI. I can’t wait to hear about it, as PEI is on my husband’s and my travel bucket list. It looks like such a beautiful place to visit.
I still need to use my Canada 150 pass!
