We are well into 2019 and I have no new year’s resolutions (though I don’t do resolutions), no goals (well, I do but I haven’t shared any of them yet) or BIG things I want to accomplish in 2019….as of yet.
And that feels good!
I’ve been since since New Year’s Day, just with a nasty head cold but it’s taking the good out of me. January 1st, I spent the day in bed in pain and then Jan 2nd I woke up feeling awesome. Maybe even too awesome! However, I didn’t sleep well that night and then went skiing the following day with my Dad. I likely over did it and then spent that Saturday afternoon in bed. The head cold was shared around the family so we’re all sick.

Having said that, I’ve only run once so far this year! We did our annual “run the 1st km of the year together” run on January 2nd. Check out those road conditions….they haven’t changed.

It was super icy and C-O-L-D but my girls wanted to go anyway. And that was after we went skating for an hour. That was the 5th time we’ve run my first km of the year together and the 6th with Lilly. A fun tradition to do each year. Lilly enjoyed it so much she wants to run more with me!

I’ve managed to get to soccer as well – thinking that running around an indoor soccer facility would help break my head cold. It didn’t but I got a goal and felt great during and after the game. So, that’s a win!
I have a few things I want to do this year (goals, I guess) and I’ll share those soon. I still have to wrap up some 2018 running post….which I’m slacking on folks! Eventually, I’ll get them done (this month).
Anyone else not set goals, resolutions yet?
What’s your number 1 goal for 2019?
Anything non-running (workout) goals you are working on?
I’m a goal setter as well. A little behind with my running since I’ve been so sick.
Oh no, you too! Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks!!! You too!!
That’s great that your girls ran with you! It sounds like a fun way to start the running year.
It sure is!
I love your new year tradition, so fun!
Happy New Year, Anna! I’m sorry you got off to a sick start, but you’ve got plenty of time to make the year a great one.
Happy new years! I’m still trying to finalize my 2019 goals as well.
