My Race Ragz Review & GIVEAWAY!!!

Whoop Whoop! A review and a giveaway for YOU!!!

At the beginning of September I had an opportunity to connect with Jenny from MetamorFit through Fit Approach on Facebook as Sweat Pink Ambassadors. She recently joined forces with My Race Ragz; a pretty cool company that allows you to design your own running shirts.

My experience:

I have to say it was pretty easy to design the shirt …. once you chose the design you wanted!

There website is super easy to use and figure out how to design your shirt. They have over 700 designs you can choose from but have it set up in categories so you can easily find a theme and look for the best design that suits you. Categories like: 5k, 13.1, Bike, Grandparents, Kids, Maternity, Love to Run, Men/Women, Ultra etc.

They give you a lot of choices when designing your shirt: shirt style (long, short, v-neck); different fonts, colours and framing around your chosen design; all on a white moisture wicking shirt.

A few examples of designs:

After looking through all the designs, I finally chose one that felt close to home:

Piper's Run - this is how I roll

Front: I chose “This is how I Roll” with a few extra flowers around the outside. These days I don’t get to run on my own very often and usually have baby Hilary in our jogging stroller. I thought it was fitting.

Back: I got “Piper’s Run” as I wanted to share my blog name with people. I really should have added the URL to my blog but I just wasn’t sure at the time of order.

I’m really hoping the weather is nice this weekend as I’m running a 5k at the Valley Harvest Marathon. It would be awesome to wear this shirt!

Two thumbs up (okay, one thumb up but only because I’m taking a selfie)

The shirt arrived in pretty good time considering I live in Canada and it had to go through customs etc. When I opened the package I fell in love with it right away. The fabric was nice and soft, the graphics are awesome, the colours are pretty vibrant and it felt really good on. So good that I could have worn it all day.

Their sizing is spot-on! After having two children you never know what size you’ll be and I didn’t want to have something that was too small or too big.

I chose the v-neck style as I don’t like anything up around my neck when running. It will be awesome in the spring/summer/fall here in Nova Scotia but I could also wear it under a long-sleeved shirt and jacket in the winter time. Yeah, I like to run in the winter 🙂  I plan on wearing it when I workout at home too… it’s not just for running.

Overall, I really love this shirt. It such a fun way to express who you are and what you do through running (biking, triathlon etc). I would totally recommend designing your own shirt and wearing it for running, walking, biking, at the gym etc.

Now your turn:

#SweatPink Shoelace {Giveaway}

If I could choose one thing to do today it would be to go for the longest, hardest run that I could. My body is aching for a good long, challenge run. But at 37 weeks pregnant, it’s just not possible for me to do so – even though my mind is wanting to my body needs rest (at least that’s what my Dr. say’s). So a little prenatal yoga and little walks it is for me.

Just over a month ago I was lucky enough to join the Sweat Pink crew with Fit Approach as an Ambassador. Since becoming a sweat pink ambassador I moved into my third trimester of this pregnancy and have been limited to what workouts I can do 😦

You know, for a girl who’s pretty active (running at lunch time to fit one in, working out at home while our toddler sleeps and finding any excuse to walk a little more), it’s been pretty hard limited my “fitness” recently. But I know I’ll get back into a routine once this baby arrives and I’m feeling good to do so.

In the mean time, I have two sweet pairs of Sweat Pink “Pink Laces” to giveaway!!!

To win a pair of pink laces:

Leave a comment telling me how you get your “sweat pink” on AND why?

(Why are you active?)

(Unless I am having our baby, then I will pick to random winners ASAP).

Open to those in Canada or US. Contest open for 1 week, winners chosen at random.
